Turning 200 — and we’re celebrating!

What a weekend!  Thanks to everyone who came and joined the celebrations, danced with their neighbors to vintage live music, rode the horse-drawn wagon, enjoyed Barbecue Bill’s great food, sang at the sing-along, and participated in Sunday’s history day talks.

And THANKS to everyone who helped make it happen

When neighbors play together our community grows together.

Hope to see everyone at the College Park Day Festival 2017 – October 7, 2017!  Check it out at https://collegeparkday.wordpress.com/.

Commemorative Tote Bags are still available. Contact us at OPH@earthlink.net for information.

The city has arranged for free parking at the City Garage at the corner of Knox Rd and College Avenue for all day on Saturday.  There will also be a shuttle bus from the garage to the Old Parish House and return from 11:30 m to 4:30 pm.

See you at the celebration!!

Welcome to the City of College Park’s
Old Parish House at 200 Celebration Website.

The Old Parish House is turning 200 – and the City of College Park is having a big celebration!  Plan to join your friends and neighbors for a weekend of events September 15 – 17.

Special events include vintage dancing on Friday night at nearby St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. The weekend continues at the Old Parish House with Family Fun Day on Saturday, a community sing-along and ice cream social on Saturday evening, and History Day on Sunday.  All events will take place at the Old Parish House located at the corner of Knox Road and Dartmouth Avenue in the historic Old Town section of College Park.

Constructed in 1817, the building was built as a brick barn as part of the Riversdale estate.  Throughout its life, the building has also served as a church, a parish hall, headquarters for the College Park Woman’s Club, and now a community center.
